Mice Trained For Airport Security

Aparrently mice is our new airport security as scientists in Israel have creted a detector. It is three cartridges with each containing eight "specially trained" mice. The New Scientist researchers claims that the mice work for shifts of four hours and that they are more accurate than dogs and x-ray machines. Air is pumped into the cartridges every shift so that the mice can breath and when the mice sense a trace of drug they to the side of the chamber which triggers an alarm. Eran Lumbroso had this to say on the topic, ""It is as if they are smelling a cat and escaping. We detect the escape." The device was tested in the Tel Aviv shopping mall last year and the mice were able to successfully pick out twenty-two mock explosive carriers. This idea of mice security may be a better way to increase security while making customers happy about not going through body scanners. Many people have found that body scanners invade their privacy as it takes pictures of your body without clothes.

Behemoth Frontman To Remain In Hospital At Least Until Tuesday

Adarm Darski, Nergal, the guitarist and vocalist of the extreme metal band Behemoth, will remain in hospital at least until Tuesday.. He must continue treatment for an infection that he had developed six weeks after his bone marrow transplant procedue. Andrzej Hellmann from the Medical University of Gdansk's Deapartment of Haematology and Transplantology said, ""The patient is feeling well and is under constant medical observation. Being in the hospital is certainly safer for the body." Nergal was readmitted to the hematology division of the Uniwersyteckie Centrum Kliniczne in Gdansk "because he did not care proper care of himself," as Dr. Maria Bieniaszewska, assistant professor, claimed. Most infections happen in the first hundred days after the transplant and they remain at risk as long at the patient's immune system is weak. Negal said this about his recovery last month: "Although the whole treatment went really good, as well as the bone marrow transplant and the post-transplant period, the next several months is the time when I must really take care of myself. Of course, I will have plenty of time to recover, think about the strategy and my return to the stage — which approaches imminently. (laughs) First of all, however, I must rebuild my physical condition."

The PlayStation 2 Will Not Die
http://kotaku.com/5750636/the-ps2-just-will-not-die

The PlayStation 2 was released in 2000 and would presumably die in 2006, with the release of the PlayStation 3. Eleven years later, 2011, and the console is still selling like crazy. Sony has released their quarterly financial results and of all the economics talk one of the figures stood out and it was the hardware sales of the PS2. Over the last few year the resulst were stable and in two out of three
past quarters, the sales have been as strong as they were last year. The sales have been so good that it matched the PlayStation Portable and sometimes even outsold the hand held system. Sony believes that it will sell six millions PS2s by the end of the fiscal year. Which is only two million less than the PSP and fifteen million less than PS3s. It really shows the success of a system when it is still being manufactured eleven years after its initial release. It is even more of a success when new games are still being released as well. Just between a three month period of November and December of last year the PS2 sold 2.1 million units worldwide. Sony's official results of worldwide PS2 sales is 151.12 million. Which is more than many earlier and same generation systems, even some current generations as well. With popular games like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, Final Fantasy XII, Gran Turismo 3, Metal Gear Solid 2, Devil May Cry and Ratchet & Clank its no wonder the console is so successful.

Thank you for reading this short but informative blog. I leave you with three videos. One of a seventeen year old talking abut how family isn't about sexual orientation and how being raised by two women did not mess up his education. A video of a very well fan made Star Wars documentary, I posted part two only, there are many parts. Then to end of I have a mock Call of Duty video from the creators of Bulletstorm.
