Most Badass Action Hero One-Liners, Woman Dies After Waking Up At Her Own Funeral, July 4th Statistics, Epic Meal Time: Fast Food Meatloaf, FreddieW: The Crying PC Gamer, FPSRussia; The Ultimax Machine Gun, The Game Station: Game Genie – Layne Pavoggi, Wheezy Waiter: Greetings, MythBusters’ Adam Savage Sings "I Will Survive" With Gollum’s Voice

Hello everyone, today is Wednesday. I am sorry there hasn’t bee many daily blog but I assure you, even with summer here, I will continue to post blogs whenever I have the time. This past weekend, I went to the highland games in which my town does every year. It included bag pipe bands, a folk band, a strong man competition, A Midsummer’s Night Dream play, medieval knight duels, and highland dancing. It was a very amazing event and it was fun to experience, I also bought myself an awesome looking claymore! This weekend is the Canada Day Waterfront Festival, so I doubt much blogging will be done, but I promise a new movie review and band interview up soon! Here is today’s news!

Most Badass Action Hero One-Liners

Harry Tasker (True Lies) – “You’re fired.”

Woman Dies After Waking Up At Her Own Funeral

In Kazan, Russia, something very odd happened to someone. A woman who had been suffering from chest pains and had supposedly had a heart failure was pronounced dead by the doctors who were on site. All the preparations for the funeral were put in place and the actual funeral was underway. Something shocking happened, as she woken up and saw what was taking place. She then screamed at the top of her lungs and died from an actual heart attack. The husband is now bringing up a lawsuit against the hospital, which is performing “an investigation.” This in turn means they are “getting their legal team together to cover their asses.”

That is it for today everyone and here is the rest of your entertainment for the night. First is a picture of statistics about the celebrations of July 4th. Next is the latest Epic Meal Time which features the lovely singer Lights, this is now my favourite episode. The second video I have for you is the latest FreddieW video called “The Crying PC Gamer” in which he gets saddened over hackers in video games. FPSRussia has come out with a new video in which he plays with a shotgun as well as an Ultimax machine gun with a one-hundred round clip. The Game Station has come out with a new episode of The Game Genie as Layne Pavoggi gets his game cheat. The second last video is the latest Wheezy Waiter video as he again brings his comments into a conversation. The last video I have for you is a video of Adam Savage from Myth Busters doing a version of “I Will Survive” using a Gollum style voice.

360 Angle Interactive Vancouver Riot Footage, Bam Margera Interviewed At Ryan Dunn’s Crash Site, Walmart VS Amazon, OverBoardHumor: Fathers Day Phone Prank, EpicMealTime: Drunken Mess, NicePeter: Epic Rap Battles Of History - Billy Mays VS Ben Franklin,TobyTurner: Literal Assassin's Creed Revelations Trailer, TheGameStation: Game Genie - Episode 3 (PressHeartToContinue), Shocking Behaviors, Cat Caught Barking Then Resumes Meowing, Inception Wedding, Slammed Racquet Bounces Out Of Play

Hello everyone, I apologize for the lack of blogs. Just been taking it easy and such, but here is a lazy blog for you!

360 Angle Interactive Vancouver Riot Footage

Wired.com has an article around the Vancouver riots, yes I know you probably had enough of it but this article shows an awesome view of it, an awesome view indeed. Ryan Whitehead, from the company northSudio 360, has made it so the police could easily identify rioters. It may not have been intentional but Whitehead has released a video showing a 360 degree view of the riots. Also if you click here you can see the interactive version. In this video you can actually click and drag and look around where you want.

I would like to show you the interview that Bam Margera did at the crash site of Ryan Dunn. It is really emotional to see Bam this way and I also find it disgusting and disrespectful that people were taking pieces of the vehicle and selling it on eBay. I really don’t think the Jackass Crew will be able to recover from this loss, and if they do it my never be the same.

Down below is an assortment of pictures and videos. First, is a picture of the statistics in competition between Walmart and Amazon. I don’t think this is much of a fair competition since Amazon is based online and Walmart is a chain of super stores. I know it is a week late, but this Father’s Day prank video by Overboard Humor is really funny and you should see it. Next is the latest Epic Meal Time video as they take their bacon money to the streets and party with it. The third video I have for you is the newest Epic Rap Battles Of History by Nice Peter as we see Billy Mays go up against Ben Franklin. Toby Turner has released a new literal game as he recreates the Assassin’s Creed Revelations trailer. Stargate, Ubisoft, sparkle! The next video I have for you is the third episode of The Game Station’s series Game Genie as we follow Dodger from Press Heart To Continue’s time with the Game Genie. Next is a funny video by a user named makemebad35 who shows some shocking behaviours people have. I found a really funny video of a cat that was barking out a window but was then caught by the owner so he starts meowing, it is very funny and also cute.  The second last video is probably one of the newest wedding videos to get popular as it takes to being Inception related. The final video I have for you is a funny video of a tennis player getting angry and throwing his racket at the ground, which then bounces out of play.

Happy Belated Father's Day! Ryan Dunn From Jackass Dies, Man Rides Horse Through Woman’s Door To Win Her Heart, Electronic Arts VS The Customers, Vancouver: Sorry World, Equals Three: Optimus Crane, FreddieW: Cereal Kill, FPSRussia: The Russian Sniper, Rooster Teeth: Immersion - Horde Mode, Mind Your Step!

Hello everyone, today is Monday and I hope you had a great Father's Day weekend. I know I did and I've also found a large dose of happiness for my soul, in the form of a person! Anyhow, I have an interview that will be posted next week, fingers crossed, with a popular thrash band! I also posted my review for The Green Latern, which you can see here. Now for today's news, but before I begin I would like to share with you two videos for you father, even if it is a day late. One is an old ShayCarl video but it sure fits the mood, the other is WheezyWaiter's Father's Day Song!

Ryan Dunn From Jackass Dies
http://scoop.today.com/_news/2011/06/20/6899223-jackass-star-dies-in-car-accident

This morning at 3AM, Ryan Dunn and an unidentified passenger died in a car crash at Route 322 and New Street in the West Goshen Township in Pennsylvania. The police say that Dunn’s 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 was “off the road and in the woods” and was terrifyingly “fully engulfed in flames.” President of MTV Network’s Music and Films Group, Van Toffler, released this statement today: "We are devastated by the tragic loss of Ryan Dunn -- a beloved member of the MTV family for more than a decade. He made us all laugh and had the tireless enthusiastic approach to life of your favourite middle school friend. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Ryan's family and friends. The Jackass brotherhood will never be the same." A small history lesson on Ryan Dunn; he was fifteen when he moved from Ohio to Pennsylvania. This is where he met Bam Margera on the first day of their high school career. The group of Dunn, Margera, Raab Himself, and Brandon DiCammilo started doing videos of them skateboarding and doing stunts under the name CKY, the acronym for Camp Kill Yourself. Ryan Dynn worked as a welder and also at a gas station when Johnny Knoxville asked the group to allow their videos in the Jackass series. It then became a large sensation and had a lot of fans.

Man Rides Horse Through Woman’s Door To Win Her Heart

Jan Rudnicki is one crazy man and does not know how to pick up his women. He had seven kids already but the Polish man still wanted more women and had his eyes on one Gosia Domoslawska. Jan went to the bar on horseback to have some beer with his friends and then had a plan on winning the woman’s heart. The intoxicated man took off his horse, got on his horse and rode on with haste to her residence. When drunken Jan came to Gosia’s house he rode through her door and into her house hoping she’d admire this crazy stunt. She was not impressed at the stunt at all and told Croatian Times: “He's a loon. I never fancied him before and I certainly don't now. If this was supposed to win my heart he must be seriously off his rocker." After poor Jan sobered up he offered to fix the door, polices officers kept the charge for breaking and entering on him however.

That is it for today's news and I leave you with you normal conclusions! First is a picture of the difference in how Electronic Arts see their video games and how their customers see their video games. Next is a video which is an apology to the world about the Vancouver riot which also doubles as an advertisement for smart cars. The second video I would like to share with you is possibly my second and last favourite episode of Ray William Johnson's Equals Three as KassemG returns to host last week's videos. The third video is a very well edited video with special effects by FreddieW as he helps stop a hold up at a grocery store and also can't between cocoa puffs or cocoa rice krispies. The next video is the latest FPS Russia, as he shows us a sniper rifle as well as a shotgun. The second last video is the latest RoosterTeeth short called Immersion: Horde Mode which is kind of like zombies on Call of Duty. Last is the funny reaction video for the series Watch Your Step. I hope you all enjoyed and I will see you next time!

Spotlight: The Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds, Clancy Brown, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong)

Hello everyone, I saw Green Lantern Friday night and I was not that pleased with the movie. It may be because I was surrounded by families with annoying children, but I still believe this movie wasn’t very good. Here is a review.

The Green Lantern, based on the comic of the same name, was directed by Martin Campbell (James Bond GoldenEye and Casino Royale, The Mask Of Zorro, The Legend Of Zorro) and was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures with DC Entertainment. Ryan Reynolds (Van Wilder, Waiting, Buried) plays Hal Jordan, who becomes the Green Lantern. Clancy Brown (SpongeBob SquarePants, Superman, Highlander) plays the voice of Parallax, the villain. Blake Lively (Accepted, The Town, Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants, Gossip Girl) plays Carol Ferris, Hal’s love interest. Peter Sarsgaard (Jarhead, Kinsey, Shattered Glass) plays Dr. Hector Hammond, who plays Hal’s friend who turns evil. Mark Strong (Robin Hood, Kick-Ass, Sherlock Holmes) plays Thaal Sinestro, another Green Lantern and Hal’s mentor. Angela Bassett (Malcolm X, The Rosa Parks Story, Notorious) plays Dr. Amanda walker, a government agent. Tim Robins (Bull Durham, Shawshank Redemption) plays Robert Hammond, the father of Hector. Temeura Morrsion (Star Wars, Spartacus) plays the Green Lantern that crash landed on Earth. A few other actors are Taika Waititi (Boy, Eagle VS Shark), Geoffrey Rush (Legends Of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga’Hoole, Finding Nemo), and Michael Clarke Ducan (Green Mile, Scorpian King, Planet Of The Apes).

I really don’t want to spoil much of the movie but I guess I could summarize it for you as best as I could. Apparently there are different sectors in the universe and each sector has their own Green Lantern, so there are 3 600 individual Green Lanterns. In a fight against the super villain Parallax, Sector 2814’s Green Lantern, Abin Sur, is mortally wouded and crash lands on Earth. This is where test pilot, Hal Jordan, comes to find him and Abin Sur deems him the successor of his ring. Hal Jordan is now a Green Lantern and then learns about his abilities and then is trained by his mentor Sinestro, who is to happy that Abin Sur picked a human to be the successor. When taking the lantern and ring from the fallen Abin Sur, Hal sees government agents flying in to secure the crash landing site so he flees the scene. The government seeks out Hector Hammond to do the autopsy on Abin Sur, but he gets injected with a piece of Parallax’s DNA and it makes him turn evil. It is up to Hal Jordan to use his new super hero abilities to stop Hammond as well as Parallax from destroying planet Earth.

Alright, I know some you may not like me for this reviewing, but this is only my opinion. The casting is fine and so are the visuals, but I think the plot could have done with a little more working on. Something that bugs me is that in total there are 3 600 Green Lanterns. Which means that this type of superhero isn’t very individual and in fact, are basically a group. This totally takes away from the individuality of Hal’s abilities. One thing I disliked was that the mask that Hal wore was supposed to “conceal his true identity.” It was only a small little mask that he wore around his eyes. This would not and did not conceal his identity, since everyone he knew could tell that it was him. It was the worst identity cover up I have ever seen. Another thing that bothered me was the way Peter Sarsgaard would scream, it was rather annoying. The main thing that bothered me, that I wanted to leave for last, is the plot. This movie seemed to be extremely linear and it seems as if the writers did not want to go deeper into the story of any back story and it felt as if you were supposed to imagine it for yourself. Some parts I couldn’t even understand and it would have helped to have some more explanation. I know this seems like a negative review but this is how I saw the movie. I give Green Lantern a 3.5 out of 5.

Top Ten Most Cringe-Worthy Celebrity Duets, The Craziest Things Michele Bachmann Has Ever Said, Man Attacks Neighbour With Bulldozer Over Stolen Scrap Metal, Real Life Mario Kart, Rags To Rags And Riches To Riches, RoosterTeeth: L.A. Noire - Then And Now, Rage Quit: Dead Rising 2, Give Us Your Cash, Bitch!

Hello everyone, today is Wednesday and I have had an amazing day. Not only did I get some early Father’s Day shopping done but I also uploaded an unboxing video of Duke Nukem: Forever Balls Of Steel Edition, which you can see here, and thank you for my brother for recording that for me. I will also begin doing the gameplay footage for it as well and I will actually be commentating it with a friend as well. Here is today’s news!

Top Ten Most Cringe-Worthy Celebrity Duets

Riverfront Times Blog has a list of ten of the worst celebrity duets of all time. I thought it’d be worth showing you these horrible singers do their worst. These celebrities should have never sung publicly while sober as they make my ears bleed. Here are the duets:

10. “Cruisin” – Huey Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow (2000)

9. “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” – Frank Sinatra and Bono (1993)

8. "To All the Girls I've Loved Before" - Julio Iglesias and Willie Nelson (1984)

7. "Whatzupwitu" - Michael Jackson and Eddie Murphy (1993)

6. "Something Stupid" - Nicole Kidman and Robbie Williams (2001)

5. "I Know I Want You" Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey (2003)

4. "Romeo" - Dolly Parton and Billy Ray Cyrus (1994)

3. "Lady Marmalade" - Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Pink, Mya, and Missy Elliott (2001)
Okay this song shouldn’t have been on their list because at the time, this was an amazing collaboration with all the top female singers.

2. "Stan" Eminem and Elton John (2001)
This is another one I had no problem with either because it showed that Eminem did not have any problems with homosexuals. Although this song was better with Dido.

1. "In the Ghetto" - Elvis and Lisa Marie Presley (2008)
This is also a stupid spot for this song. This mainly got top because it is with a second-generation singer and their parent who is deceased. They also didn’t like the fact the bay had guns.

The Craziest Things Michele Bachmann Has Ever Said

HuffingtonPost.com has a little article on Michele Bachmann and some of the craziest things she has ever said while she is getting ready to launch her 2012 campaign to become president. I thought I would share some of her crazy quotes:

"And what a bizarre time we're in, when a judge will say to little children that you can't say the pledge of allegiance, but you must learn that homosexuality is normal and you should try it."
"I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out: Are they pro-America or anti-America?"
"There are hundreds and hundreds of scientists, many of them holding Nobel Prizes, who believe in intelligent design."
"I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under another Democrat president Jimmy Carter. And I'm not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it's an interesting coincidence."
"[Gay marriage] is probably the biggest issue that will impact our state and our nation in the last, at least, thirty years. I am not understating that."
"Normalization [of gayness] through desensitization. Very effective way to do this with a bunch of second graders is take a picture of 'The Lion King' for instance, and a teacher might say, 'Do you know that the music for this movie was written by a gay man?' The message is: 'I'm better at what I do, because I'm gay.'"
"But we also know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States."
"It is a brand new, billion-dollar high speed train that is going to go from Disneyland up to Las Vegas...Harry Reid, the Senator from Nevada, was behind this measure, and it makes us wonder, is he more interested in making sure kids start gambling at younger ages?"
"The President of the United States will be taking a trip over to India that is expected to cost the taxpayers $200 million a day."

Man Attacks Neighbour With Bulldozer Over Stolen Scrap Metal

Fifty-two year old, Joseph Franer, has been taken into custody for questioning, yesterday, when he has been accused of attacking his neighbour with a bulldozer. The story behind this is that hundreds of dollars in scrap metal was missing from his mother’s storage shed in Big Beaver, Pennsylvania. He decided to take matters into his own hands and investigate, rather then report it missing. So he followed a trail of scraps and it appeared to have shown him the way that the thief left the scene. This let Franer into the woods and onto the grounds of a fifty-nine year old by the name of Leslie Dallas. At around 7:30 he had seen Dallas with about eight-hundred dollars worth of his scrap metal. Franer confronted Dallas, hurling a hammer at him as well as dropped racial slurs because he was black. When the hammer missed the slurs continued and then grabbed a saw threw it at Dallas, which hit him in the foot. Franer grabbed a piece of pipe and broke the passenger-side window of Dallas’ van, in which he went off and made it back to his mother’s residence. He then called the police and told them he was about to shoot someone, but since he didn’t have a gun he settled for his bulldozer. So he drove it back through the woods to Dallas’ residence and used the bucket to lift his Ford Focus into the air and drop it so it smashed the ground. Franer attacked again but this time crushed the roof of the Focus. Dallas’ wife told KDKA, a Pittsburgh-based television station, that “it was like being on Nightmare On Elm Street.” Before anymore chaos ensued, police arrived and had taken Franer into custody. Both men are waiting to have their hearing as both have multiple charges. Dallas is being faced with theft while Franer is being charged with ethnic intimidation, simple assault, criminal mischief, harassment, disorderly conduct, trespass by motor vehicle and damage to property by motor vehicle.

That is it for tonight, I have to pictures for you. One is an awesome picture of people dressed up as Mario Kart characters and in go-karts. The other is statistics that show that the poor are getting poorer and the rich is getting richer. Next is two videos from Rooster Teeth, also they have just reached one million subscribers so congratulation all you fine men and girl Jack over there. First is a comparison of the old Los Angeles with what it looks like now. The second is a new Rage Quit, as Michael rages over garbge and food in Dead Rising 2. The last video is an apparent political ad making fun of Janice Hahn called “Give Us Your Cash, Bitch!”

Volcano In Chile With Lightning Images, Venture Capital, Equals Three With KassemG: Schindler’s Geese, Epic Meal Time: Masta Pasta, The Game Station: Game Genie (The Warp Zone), Rooster Teeth: The Atari Kid, Rage Quit: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, StarCraft Geeks Pick Up Girls, Guys In Wheelchairs Pick Up Girls, Miami Beach Memorial Day Shooting Cellphone Video, Seven Dogs & A Bike, Evil Bird Tries To Off A Turtle

Hello everyone, it is Wednesday. I am going to start doing daily posts soon. I’ve just honestly couldn’t be bothered a few times as well as I am trying to get other things done like interviews as well as reviews whenever a new film comes to town. I am also trying to think of ways I can start doing YouTube videos with my voice. I’m not really used to talking to people, let alone a microphone or camera. Anyhow here is some new stuff that’s been around for about a week now I’d like to share with you.

The first thing is a few pictures of a beautiful sight in Chile. As a volcano spewed out smoke, a lightning storm brewed, and with the two different elements it created a spectacular sight. Here is four pictures from this.

I have one infograph for you today, it is about the state of venture capital is it is now. I have a lot of videos for you today and first off is my favourite episode of =3 (Equals Three) by RayWilliamJohnson. What makes this my favourite episode is because that douchebag Ray isn’t hosting it and this time he has KassemG to take his place. I find this show more appealing to me with KassemG as the host. Next is the latest EpicMealTime video as they make the most masta’ pasta I have ever seen! Next up is the first two episodes of the new series from TheGameStation and TheWarpZone called Game Genie. It follows their members in their adventures with the Game Genie from the SNES. RoosterTeeth has released a new short onto YouTube entitled The Atari Kid, which is a parody of Karate Kid. Next is a new Rage Quit by RooterTeeth as Michael picks up Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as he rages over an old video game. Next is two videos from a new group called SimplePickup as they try to pick up girls randomly from off the street using different styles of talking in today’s pop culture. The two videos show them using Starcraft terms and pretending to be in a wheelchair to get the girls. Next is a video of the shooting that happened in the Miami Beach area on Memorial Day, as police point their loaded gun at an innocent man and woman trying to leave the area in their vehicle. The last couple videos are some funny ones. First is cute video of seven dogs, six of which are puppies, standing in a line while the first one peddles a small tricycle. The last is a video of a bird trying to off a turtle. You could tell it meant to send the turtle to its death as it side bumped it.

Spotlight: X-Men: First Class (James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones, Rose Byrne)

Hello everyone I saw X-Men: First Class last night and let me tell you for a prequel to the original trilogy it is amazing. Let’s get into the review, warning this may be a long review as I want to give each actor credit where it should be given.

X-Men: First Class was directed by Matthew Vaughn, who directed Kick-Ass last year as well as produced movies such as Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. This movie was produced by the same men who did the original X-Men movies, Simon Kinberg, Lauren Shuler Donner, and Bryan Singer as well as Gregory Goodman who has produced Gulliver’s Travels and The Day The Earth Stood Still. This film was made by such studios as Marvel Entertainment and Bad Hat Harry Productions. Please excuse the extensive cast list that comes before the summary and review. These actors really do deserve some props:

James McAvoy (Wanted, Atonement, The Last King Of Scotland) plays Professor Charles Xavier, Laurence Belcher plays the young version of this character.
Michael Fassbender (Band Of Brothers, Inglourious Basterds, Hunger) plays Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, Bill Milner (Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, Son Of Rambow) plays the young version of this character.
Kevin Bacon (The Woodsman, Apollo, Murder In The First) plays Sebastian Shaw a leader of a group of hostile mutants, named Hellfire Club, as well as being a scientist.
Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone, The Burning Plain, The Poker House) plays Raven/Mystique, Morgan Lily (2012, Flipped) plays the young version of this character.
January Jones (Mad Men, Anger Management) plays Emma Frost/White Queen who is part of the Hellfire Club.
Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids, Insidious, Get Him To The Greek) plays Dr. Moira Mactaggert.
Nicholas Hoult (Clash Of The Titans, A Single Man, About A Boy) plays Dr. Henry “Hank” McCoy/Beast..
Oliver Platt (2012, Year One, The Big C) plays The Man In Black, the CIA agent who is head of the agency working with the mutants.
Zoë Kravitz (Californication, Assassination Of A High School President) plays Angel Salvadore, a mutant with the wings of a housefly that also spits acidic saliva.
Caleb Landry Jones (Summer Song, The Social network, The Last Exorcism) plays Sean Cassidy/Banshee, a mutant who has the ability of supersonic screaming and flight.
Lucas Till (Battle: Log Angeles, The Spy Next Door, Walk The Line) plays Alex Summers/Havok, a mutant who has the ability to absorb energy and discharge it as blasts.
Edi Gathegi (Twilight, Crank, My Bloody Valentine) plays Armando Muñoz/Darwin, a mutant with the power of “reactive evolution.”
Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, Mirrors, Stardust) plays Azazel, a Hellfire Club member who has the ability to teleport.
Álex González plays Janos Quested/Riptide, a mutant who has the ability to create whirlwinds.
Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Romijn also make cameo appearances as Logan/Wolverine and Mystique.

This movie first takes place in 1944 as we see Erik Lensherr being forced by Sebastian Shaw to use his magnetic powers. When he is not able to use them Shaw kills Erik’s mother, which leads to Erik using his anger to kill two guards and destroy the room. During the same time we also see Charles Xavier meeting Raven, he invites her to live with his family as he is happy to meet someone “different” like himself. The rest of the movie is based in the year 1962, during the Cuban Missile Crisis, as Shaw tries to start World War 3. Xavier and Raven are employed by the government to try to help them with Saw and the Hellfire Club and he ends up helping and meeting Lensherr. They then start up a mutant division in the CIA and also recruit other mutants they can find by using Cerebro, which was made by Hank McCoy. They recruit Angel Salvadore, Armando Munoz, Alex Summers, and Sean Cassidy. I think this is enough of a spoiler….

First off I’d like to say that this movie was very well done, it had some problems but it was good. The special effects were awesome and the visuals were amazing. I really liked how they made this movie and how they showed how Xavier and Magneto’s relationship began. I really liked the part when Xavier training the mutants to be their best, the multiple video went well with this part and it made it look amazing. Many of the lines were very witty and there was many comical lines that would only be funny to a fan of the series. Erik’s early life was well shown and would make you emotional when he loses his mother. I have heard that this movie did miss some points that should have been addressed. One was the fact that Mystique and Azazel never began any sort of relationship, since they are the parents of Nightcrawler. This may come in the sequels though, so it isn’t too much as a fault as it could be for now. I guess since it would have made for a longer story, they changed the way that Xavier came to be wheelchair bound. I think the original reason was because of the confrontation with the Shadow King, as I have read online, but I have also heard it was because of an incident with Juggernaut. Either way I know the way they showed in the film was just a quick way to show it happened. Although this movie had some parts that weren’t exactly to the comics, it is a very good movie and you should all go see it. I give it a 4.5 because although this is the beginning of the X-Men, they could have made it a little closer to the comics.

Spotlight: Bridesmaids (Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper, Chris O'Dowd, Jill Clayburgh, Jon Hamm)

Hello everyone, I apologize for the lack of daily blogs this past week. I’ve kind of been busy and have been forgetting to post. I have posted a new band interview with Destorgsekalf from Toronto. I have also recently posted a review of Hangover as well! I saw Bridesmaids a week ago, so here is the review.

Bridesmaids is a comedy made produced by the Judd Apatow, Barry Mendel, Clayton Townsend, who made films like Superbad, Pineapple Express, and Get Him To The Greek. It was directed by Paul Feig and distributed by Universal Pictures. The main two women in this movie are named Annie Walker (Kristen Wiig - Paul, Macgruber, Date Night) and Lillian Donovan (Maya Rudolph - SNL, Macgruber, Grown Ups). The others are Helen Harris (Rose Byrne - Get Him To The Greek, Troy, X-Men First Class), Megan (Melissa McCarthy - Mike And Molly, Life As We Know It, The Back-up Plan), Rita (Wendi McLendon-Covey - Douchebag, The Search For Santa Paws, Reno 911!), and Becca (Ellie Kemper - The Office, Somewhere, Get Him To The Greek). This movie is based around the character Annie Walker, as she struggles with finding a good man. She also finds out her best friend is getting married and that Annie is going to be the Maid of Honor. Lillian also chooses four bridesmaids. Helen Harris, who is a wealthy wife of Lillian’s fiancé’s boss and Lillian’s new close friend. Becca, a newlywed who loves marriage and pities Annie because of she is not married. Megan, the aggressive sister of the groom. Last, Rita, a relative who is unhappy with her marriage and three sons. While the wedding comes closer, Annie’s personal life is going downhill. The cake shop she owned went bankrupt and forced her into a jewelry store as a saleswoman, who does not make much money and is also ineffective in making sales. Annie also gets kicked out of her apartment by the twins she was living with. Issues just get worse as she is seeing a man who this of her as only a sex buddy. When Annie sees Lillian and Helen acting like the best friends in the world, she lets her anger loose. Thus, the drama unfolds during many wedding preparation events.

Bridesmaids is not that bad of a movie and I think it is a chick flick for guys. It is rated 14A and contains much humour and some obscene scenes. In a regular chick flick, I am sure you don’t see women in dresses puking in toilets and going number two in sinks and on the road. You do not actually see the worst of that, but you know its implied. I think the people who made this film have proved that they can make a good movie, even if it is a chick flick. It had me laughing a lot and was really good. I give it a four out of five. Also want to add that this movie is the last movie that Jill Clayburgh filmed before she died from her battle with leukemia on November 5th, 2010. May you rest in peace.
