Preliminary Voting (Top Eight Advance)

Here you have it, the fifteen bands who signed up. I would like to run through the rules:

1. Top eight voted bands advance
2. You can vote for more than one band
3. You can only vote once, don't forget to vote for all your favourites
3. CAPCHA is in place so no bots are involved
4. Poll closes June 25th

    About 75% of people have voted for only 1 band - So it does appear to be a competition of who has more friends.

      Get a grip. How does one get popular? Through assuming people are just gonna vote for you? You need to promote yourself. If you can't do that, then what the fuck is the point in signing your band up if no one is supporting you? Learn to promote yourself because trust me, you wont get shit all just sitting on your ass and assuming people are going to be interested in your band. This "One" band obviously has a fallowing. Its not "a whos the best band" thing, you can vote for more then one band at a time herp derp. The point is to vote for your PERSONAL favorite. This is an easy way for people to support these bands and help them get a little dough towards their demos, merch, or travel budget.

      So quit bitching, you're just making yourself look like a sour puss. If you're in one of these bands, I hope to find out which one so I can remember to NEVER do business with such bitter,immature, and unappreciative children.

      I agree. This is something for fun. Not a huge $1,000 prize, not to get signed to a record label. The band who has the most support from their fans and, yes, friends/family, will win. And, support from those people are very important to a band's success. And, if a band that's not "actually good" wins, it's not as though their friend/family support will make them big. It's just a small part.

      So, let's allow this fun competition to continue being fun ;) .

    Well that's not my problem, it clearly states you can vote for more than one. Is there any other way to have a band competition without it being a popularity contest?

      Even true battle of the bands, judged by musically noteworthy judges, generally have a portion relating to the draw/popularity of a band. So, in the end, your answer is no!

    Somebody Check these guys out. If you haven't heard them live then you are missing out. Time after time they are easily the best band I have seen in Toronto, Barrie, Peterborough, Orillia ect...
